I only went in to check in for an outside table. We went during the week at lunch. Our waitress was awesome. We had the perfect spot outside and there were several other spots outside. We shared Onion Rings for an appetizer and each had a sandwich. I had the Reuben and house cut fries and my husband had the Jalapenos Burger (jalapeno jam, cream cheese). Both were delicious. Everything was well priced and they had lunch specials. Nothing fancy, but I'm glad we stopped!
The Brick has a relaxed Crossroads District vibe where it feels more like a hangout spot than a formal restaurant. I ordered the burger first and it came out juicy with a soft bun and melted cheese that tied everything together. The tater tots were crisp and easy to snack on between bites. The chicken sandwich had a crunchy exterior and a soft inside with a simple sauce that worked well. Fried pickles were tangy and crisp, giving a nice contrast to the heavier items on the table. Everything felt casual and unpretentious. The room had people chatting over drinks and plates, giving it a steady but easygoing energy.
Food was great. It came out fast. We will be back. Had never been here. We had the patty melt, fries, chili, cottage cheese, and the chicken Cuban with cottage cheese. We also had a Paloma, Mermaid Water Drink, and a Raspberry Rapids drink .
Okay so you know how the hole in the wall places are the best? In this case it's absolutely true! Located in The Crossroads District if you're looking for a burger with excellent flavor, that is the right amount of juicy you found it. The burger was so good you don't need any condiments on it. The sweet potato fries are good as well as the tater tots. I highly recommend the provolone cheese sticks . This is a true dive bar featuring local beers and bottled domestics. They offer fantastic service and great food. I give it a 9 out of 10! They have incredible daily specials. Parking is somewhat limited on the northwest side you can find a paid parking lot or you can take your chances on street parking. There's a small outdoor eating area in the front. They also have live bands at different times. This place is a great find!:)
I've lived here my entire life and I've never been to the brick before. This is the literal epitome of a hole in the wall bar. I sat at the bar and the bartender was the sweetest lady so fun so funny had lots of energy. I ordered a Chicago dog expecting a small dog I was absolutely wrong it is the size of your forearm which for the price was amazing! Chili on top could of used a tad bit more seasoning for my taste but outside of that everything was amazing the fries were hot well seasoned. I had a pink pony Club drink which was mixed well not super overwhelming alcohol taste and was pretty good. I used the restroom while I was there the bathroom was clean. All in all good experience and ill be back!
